Jeff Benjamin and Jeff Hoffman were the first to arrive.
We had a good turnout. Probably because we were all tired
from working on building our individual arks, because it
had been raining for at least the past 40 days. We gathered
at Hooter's for fellowship, beer and of course, Hooter's!"
Our lovely waitress Sarah served us at the Texas shaped
table.
MacWorld San Francisco was going on. Steve Jobs had
announced a profitable quarter for Apple. Apple stock up
gone up about 44% the past few days.
The other buzz was about the new G3 upgrades for the
first-gen PowerMacs from Newer Technology.
We also talked about the new MacOS 8.1 update that was
imminent!
Mike brought his Sony Mavica and I, of course, brought my
QuickTake.
We were all giving Luis (Lareese) a hard time about NetTalk
Live. (What else is new.) He offered us a free, unmolested
copy of Timbuktu Pro 4.0 for bringing a blanket for the
homeless for coming to the show one Sat. night.
And... Darren finally showed up to one of the lunches!
